Candia and Dale's Wedding
October 13th, 2007
Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington
I was married in the middle of October in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. From the island you could look right into Canada. It is one of the most gorgeous spots on the planet and I am fortunate that the islands are only about a six hour drive from my home. We chose this location because of the beauty, the access to wildlife and the romantic quality of the islands.
The day was glorious. It was the middle of October, yet the weather was amazingly perfect. It was 70 degrees, no wind, the waters calm and the sky, brilliant blue!! I have to admit, in August when we decided to create "the moment", I began working with the devas and nature spirits of all the elements: air, water, earth, fire. I would contact them and visually "see" the most perfect day. I have to admit they absolutely outdid themselves and made it even better than I could have hoped. It was truly a phenomenal day!
We had the wedding on a whale watching boat as we sailed through the Sound. We had porpoises swimming all afternoon around the boat, dancing in the sunlight. We had wildlife prancing about on the islands and eagles offering us their support. Whales were happily sailing through the waters on the south end of San Juan island. It was truly a gift from Mother Earth and the Devic Kingdom. It was such a testament to what we can accomplish when in union with the earth and the Universal energies. It is a reminder to each and every one of us that we can create all kinds of wonderful magic when we are in sync with the world around us. It's all about intention and belief.
Our four children participated in the ceremony as well as singing with their friends to music we had coordinated and music they created. There were seven teenagers singing "Over the Rainbow". It was a heart rendering moment.
