I try and walk at least five times a week for an hour or more. It is my zen time, my calm, quiet as well as revitalizing time, depending on how fast I walk. It is my ritual that is very important to my daily sense of peace. I will walk during the winter too in all the rain and wind if needed just for the energy boost.
I live in the country on three acres, though we're really not far from amenities and services. Most neighbors have animals, whether they're horses, cows, chickens and roosters, dogs or cats. When I'm walking I feel like I'm in the movie "101 Dalmatians", because the street becomes the 'dog brigade' of barking. They literally start barking and it goes down the street to the neighbors and on down the next mile. They all come to greet me and ask for love and hugs. Sometimes they are just hilarious in their antics in directing my attention to them; they just make me laugh.
Animals are really easy to work with as they are so open to communication as well as to energy work. It is not a huge step in their belief patterns to know that energy heals. They absorb it so quickly and happily. I have a 19 year old half Siamese, half 'barn-yard hunk' that was diagnosed with kidney failure seven years ago. Initially I used the veterinarian food prescribed for kidney failure; however Jasper wasn't really fond of it. I have used natural food for my pets for fifteen years, so I went back to my basics combining that with working on him energetically. I got his structure back in alignment (and continue to do so today as his joints become very stiff in the cold), as well as energizing and rebalancing his kidneys and his kidney meridian. I also check him for digestion and any other places I feel might be out of balance. To this day he is still on natural food. The veterinarian had told me, he could live a bit longer (when he was diagnosed) but it would eventually kill him. I have never had a cat live to be 19, yet alone one that is challenged with 'failure' of an organ.
When I first bought Jasper, my oldest son was just one year. My former husband wasn't fond of cats being allergic; however I kept hearing this loud voice that said "this is your cat". I had found an ad in the paper about Siamese kittens near our home. (Siamese have different hair dander and is easier on people with allergies. Also if you wash them it helps even more). Every time I looked through the paper and saw the next day's ad I heard the same voice. I decided to act upon it, phoned, got directions and drove out to this farm, close to where I live now. Jasper was the last of the litter to be sold, however he wasn't so little anymore and he wasn't all Siamese. Like I mentioned, he was part 'barn-yard hunk'. (His mother was bit tired of the breeder males so decided to make her life a little more exciting.) In fact, at that time, he was rather a homely guy, being all mottled in coloring and at that gangly three month old kitten stage. However, he jumped literally into my mini-van with my son in his car seat above him all excited and loud. He curled up on the floor underneath him and stayed. It was amazing!!! Not only was I told this was my cat, he made it exceptionally clear. I paid the farmers for my half-breed willingly.
Another vital piece of the story is, when I was 23 I had a three year old cat named Wizard. He was a beautiful grey and tan with striping, long ears, very calm and very smart. One day I noticed blood and took him to the vet. He was filled with cancer. To this day I remember saying goodbye to him at the vets, sobbing, telling him that if the surgery didn't work to come back to me.
You know the rest of the story.almost anyway. Yes Jasper is Wizard, and yet he is also my first cat Sam. Sam lived to be 14; he died when I was 16 while I was at an Elton John concert. The next day, when my dad buried him, it was the first day I'd ever seen my dad cry. Sam was an awesome cat, the king of the neighborhood. He had overcome a great challenge when my mother accidently drove over him; from that day till he died, he had to drink water from the bathtub facet to let it drop into his throat. Sam had the strength of lion. How do I know it is the same energy? Because each time Jasper/Wizard/Sam has returned to me, his energy is the same, yet better, more emotionally evolved, deeper in his understanding of the family dynamics, better able to communicate his needs, stronger in his role as a male cat/guardian/lion. He also has some of the same attributes in his movements and expressions. They will also let you know in mannerisms, personality traits, and personal grooming. |
Celine was lost and had the capcity to return to her owner in a new body. |
When you lose a beloved pet, don't feel you will never see them again, as it is very possible to have them come back to you. Literally and truly. If you are willing to look beyond the new fur, and look deeply into their eyes, you will see their soul and feel their energy. Yet be prepared for an expansion of their personalities as they too grow and evolve to become better. So after the grieving, let go, relax, be excited, and ask them to come be in your life again. It will be worth your love and focus. Be willing to be creative with their new name, as names carry a frequency and energy. You want a name that will embody their new growth and being-ness, whether it's something funny like Bob or something cool like Mojo. Knowing this will give you the push to let go of the grieving and move into something new and exciting with a beloved furry friend. Enjoy the love and companionship they offer.
